Composition and Community: Looking Back on Our Life Drawing Events

Composition and Community: Looking Back on Our Life Drawing Events

January 9, 2017 by Kassem Ahmed

Last year, we hosted bi-weekly Life Drawing events from The Station, our coworking space in Toronto. Run by member and illustrator Dmitry Bondarenko, these evenings brought together people with different backgrounds and professions in the local creative community.

The common goal? To draw, create, and relax in a welcoming environment.

Here are some of our favourite shots from our sessions.

Land Rights Acknowledgement

We wish to acknowledge this land on which Good Gorilla operates. For thousands of years, this is the sacred territorial land of the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, the Wendat and Petun First Nations, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
